I’ve tried virtually every string currently made and Zager without a doubt is the best string on the market today. Elixir, D’Addario, Ernie Ball, Martin, Cleartone, GHS, DR, Godin, Santa Cruz, D’Angelico….seriously I’ve tried ALL OF THEM. While some are better than others NONE play as easy as Zagers and only a few come close to sounding as good. The thing that surprised me the most is how long they last. I play a lot and usually change every 2 months. With these I went 4 months! They got a little frayed the last month but they still sounded awesome. I have a friend who’s had them on 9 months and they look like hell but still sound incredible. Money well spent!

Best strings for Arthritis
Hi Denny, I received my Zager coated strings today and just installed them on my Takamine dreadnought. All I can say is that I am amazed and blown away at the sound quality, intonation and ease of playing. In my 63 years of professional playing and instruction and after trying all the brands, gauges, wirewound and flatwounds available, Zager strings put them all to shame. Yesterday while playing, my 70 year old fingers hurt. Today they feel as though they are on vacation. These strings are everything you say they are and to boot, you Zagers include a fretboard cleaning cloth and a pick inside of a cool and reusable felt bag, Very classy and appreciated.

Amazing strings. I really didn’t believe the hype until I put them on my old Fender which I hadn’t played in a decade because it beat the hell outta my fingers.
